Home Business Tips – What Do You Learn From Games?

Everyone has played games in their life, whether physical like football, basketball or tennis or mental like chess, cards or puzzles.  How we play games are a reflection of how we life our life.

I constantly remind myself of this quote ”How you do anything is how you do everything.”

What do we learn from games?  Games are how we teach children the skills and abilities they will need to be successful.

I recently got hooked on a Facebook application called Roller Coaster Kingdom, similar to building a business you need to build a theme park.  It was fun and frustrating in the beginning.  As I achieved the levels it became more and more fun to see how long it would take to achieve the next one.  However once I achieved a certain level the milestones were spread further and further apart and mostly it was simply a matter of maintenance.  For me it became dull and routine.  I have since stopped playing, I realized I could invest my time more wisely.

Next time you are playing anything Watch yourself.  It really is about the playing of the game, not necessarily the results.  The habits and skills you develop along the way are the same skills you need to learn and grow in your life.

The excitement of starting a new business, the frustration and joy associated with learning new skills, playing the game, developing the skills, practice, practice, practice, applying the skills at new levels, conquering, resting in your success and starting all over again.

Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins. Jim Rohn

I recently achieved the milestone of 100 articles posted on Ezine Articles, it was exciting and scary at the same time.  I rested for a while, did not write any articles for a whole week, and then got back at it again heading for 500!  It is like starting over again with a lot more skill and knowledge.  It took me a little over one year to achieve the 100 articles; it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get to 200!
